Open official guide ↗

The route

  1. 1
    School entry

The school certifies eligibility and enters the appropriate solo or ensemble event.

  2. 2
    Regional performance

Perform under the prescribed music and adjudication rules.

  3. 3
    State qualification

Eligible Class 1 performances earning the required Division I rating can advance, subject to the applicable memorization rules.

  4. 4
    State performance

Complete State registration and perform in the qualifying event.

Before you commit: Not every top-rated performance qualifies: classification and solo memorization requirements matter, with specified exemptions.
