Who it’s for: High-school students; Cup grade eligibility applies

Your first step

Choose a bid-awarding Open tournament or review the official declamation qualifying route.

Open official guide ↗

The route

  1. 1
    Qualifying entry

Enter a designated debate qualifier or submit a declamation video when offered.

  2. 2
    Earn an invitation

The organizer applies that qualifier’s published selection rules.

  3. 3
    Coolidge Cup

Invited students compete in their selected Cup event.

Before you commit: Local League tournaments do not award Cup bids; the Cup has stricter grade eligibility than some introductory events.
